Piece a Duck and Ducklings Quilt Block – Mini Block #30 from The Free Motion Quilting Project

Duck and Ducklings is another fun quilt block I mentioned in the book Mally the Maker and the Queen in the Quilt. I imagined one of these blocks would create a big mama duck and four ducklings. Because this is such an easy block to piece, Quilst has to be populated with ducks! LOL! Enjoy piecing this super simple block with me by following along with this video:

Let’s Make a Flying Birds Block – Mini Block Monday #18 from The Free Motion Quilting Project

There are lots and lots and LOTS of traditional quilt blocks with the name “birds” in the title. This Flying Birds block is one of my favorites!
